The cut off rank also depends on category of the student. As per your marks your AIR would be around 1,40,000 . If you are General category, then admission to Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur is difficult. The cut off rank for CSE/IT is around 35,000-40,000 . For the Mechanical branch the cutoff rank is around 40,000 . And for other core branches, i.e. Civil/Electrical Engg. the cutoff rank could be 45,000-50,000 . You can consider other esteem colleges for CSE, IT, Mec, Civil like: VIT, LPU, BITS, Assam Don Bosco University, Ahmedabad University,Jaypee University of Information Technology, PES University, Techno Global University, Xavier University, NIIT University, Sikkim Manipal University.
