Dear Tanvi, there are 20 IIMS and each IIM has a different admission criteria. While the basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation, its 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The admission criteria of each IIM is independant to mandate their own eligibility criteria including CAT score, accademic cut offs, past academic performance, relevant work experience, etc. Each IIM has its own selection process and is independant of other IIMs selection process. For example, IIM Khozikhode Admission Criteria for 2019- 21; Shortlisting criteria:

CAT Overall Index Score carried 75% weightage

Class 12 percentage carried 7.5% weightage

Graduation score carried 7.5% weightage

Work Experience carried 5% weightage

Academic diversity factor carried 5% weightage

Considering this, you have to do real good in your Graduation and CAT, to be eligible for IIMs. If you can do so, you can pull it off. Remember that Graduation score carries 7.5 %

weightage and CAT score carries 75% weightage. Selection of Candidates for Institutions accepting CAT scores depends upon the Institution you are interested in. The basic step is to check your CAT score and few Institutions conduct further rounds like Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The weightage will be given to both the procedures while selecting a Candidate. Candidates will mostly be shortlisted based on their CAT scores. The 20 IIMS and all the Participating Institutions will announce their Cut offs. The cut off is prepared after checking various factors. MBA aspirants will have to apply separately to all the Colleges that accept CAT scores. While CAT score remains the main criteria for selection, IIMs also consider other factors like previous academic performance, work experience, gender and Academic diversity.

Required percentiles:

FMS, Delhi needs 95 percentile.

IIM Shillong: 92 percentile

IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Tiruchirapalli, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Udaipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, XIM Bhubaneshwar and New IIMS need 90 percentile.

Hello aspirant , taking a call from IIM depends on several factors.  You have notm your category , it depends on category as well. Assuming that you are from General Category.  looks for work experience. If we talk about IIM Ahmedabad or IIM Calcutta, then you need to have a score of 99 percentile plus. Your Extra curricular actiy also matters. Score 99+ percentile and you would get calls from Old IIMs. For new IIMs 96+ percentile should do..

All the best..
