Dear Rahul, there are 20 IIMS and each IIM has a different admission criteria. While the basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation, its 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The admission criteria of each IIM is independant to mandate their own eligibility criteria including CAT score, accademic cut offs, past academic performance, relevant work experience, etc. Selection of Candidates for Institutions accepting CAT scores depends upon the Institution you are interested in. The basic step is to check your CAT score and few Institutions conduct further rounds like Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The weightage will be given to both the procedures while selecting a Candidate. Candidates will mostly be shortlisted based on their CAT scores. The 20 IIMS and all the Participating Institutions will announce their Cut offs. The cut off is prepared after checking various factors. MBA aspirants will have to apply separately to all the Colleges that accept CAT scores. While CAT score remains the main criteria for selection, IIMs also consider other factors like previous academic performance, work experience, gender and Academic diversity.

Required percentiles:

FMS, Delhi needs 95 percentile.

IIM Shillong: 92 percentile

NITIE Mumbai: 91 percentile

IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Tiruchirapalli, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Udaipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, XIM Bhubaneshwar and New IIMS need 90 percentile.

For ex; IIM Khozikhode Admission Criteria for 2019- 21; Shortlisting criteria:

CAT Overall Index Score carried 75% weightage

Class 12 percentage carried 7.5% weightage

Graduation score carried 7.5% weightage

Work Experience carried 5% weightage

Academic diversity factor carried 5% weightage

Considering this, you have to do real good in your Graduation and CAT, to be eligible for IIMs. If you can do so, you can pull it off. Remember tjat Graduation score carries 7.5 % weightage and CAT score carries 75% weightage.

Dear student,

Your 10th percentage is very good and your 12th percentage is also good.

As you have not mentioned your graduation marks. If you have scored more than 50% in graduation than You are eligible for cat entrance exam.

Yes definitely you will get the call if you clear the cat exams with good percentile which is above 95+ percentile overall for open category student and 85-90+ percentile for reserved category.

And also you have to clear sectional cutoff

CAT exam is the exam which is accepted by all IIM's and also some of the top B-schools like

FMS , SP Jain, NITIE and all IIT's.

Good luck

Hey Rahul! According to the IIM admission criteria 2019-21, candidates appearing for CAT 2018 must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50 per cent marks (for General category) and 45 Percent (for SC, ST and PWD category) or equivalent CGPA from any recognised university. So you need to score at least more than 50 %.
