Hello
According to the eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS course in medical colleges of Maharashtra, other state students can not apply for admission.
In private colleges seats are divided in 85% and 15% ratio wherein 85% seats fall under State Quota (you have to show domicile for that). The remaining 15% seats are for NRI. The seats for NRI are also known as Institutional and Management Quota as earlier if the NRI seats are left vacant then they can Indian candidates can take admission. Now, NRI seats are available for NRI only. There is a case going on regarding this if NRI seats are left vacant then they should be changed into State Quota seats. However, there is no final decision taken on this. But for now there are no seats available for non-Maharashtra candidates.
Good Luck!
