No candidates who didn't apply for CDS 1 can apply for CDS 2 there is no such rule that only those candidates who applied for CDS 1 can apply for CDS 2. For different courses the age criteria is different. For Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Indian Naval Academy (NA) the age limit is 19 to 24 years, For Air Force Academy (AFA) the age limit is 20 to 24 years and for Officers Training Academy the age limit is 19 to 25 years.
