I have a EWS certificate.can I apply for a government scholarship?

I have got EWS certificate. My son has got admission for engineering college.

Scholarships are generally provided to candidates who belong to financially weaker sections of society and couldn't afford their higher education. There are various types of scholarships available to students. Some are government while others may be private or semi-government. Some of them are merit based, some are based on family annual Income, Some are based on types of course being pursued, Some are based on category as you have mentioned and there are many other factors too.

So you can get government scholarship depending on your qualification, annual family income, category, course and others. You would be eligible for government scholarship based on your EWS certificate provided you also satisfy the other eligibility criteria, if any required for getting that scholarship.
