Hello there
There is no problem if you have one year gap after your 12th. You can go for whatever you want to do to further. As you want to do BSc Food Science and quality control program so as you can go for it also so by applying in any university from where you want to complete it.
Now one disadvantage I would tell you of this one year gap which is not valid i n all the universities but somehow you will find out this in some specific Universities that if they would be conducting their entrance examinations for admission then they would deduct some marks of your from the obtained marks as you have one year gap after you 12th.
But don't worry of it as all universities don't follow the same rule. So you can do your graduation in BSC Food Science and quality control from any university in whichever you want to by giving entrance if they conduct fore admission process.
I hope it helps you!
Thank you!
