I have a score of 640 and 82 percentile in MAT FEBRUARY. Tell me best B-schools having mba(PG) in finance(not PGDM)?
Mathew with your score and percentile in MAT below is the list of colleges in which you have a good probability of getting a call on applying:
- Indian Institute of Finance, Greater Noida
- AIMS Institutes, Bangalore
- Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Institute of Management Science, Kolkata
- Bhavan’s Priyamvada Birla Institute of Management, Mysore
- Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Usha and Lakshmi Mittal Institute of Management, New Delhi
- Entrepreneurship and Management Processes International, New Delhi
- FLAME University, Pune
- GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida
- Institute of Finance and International Management, Bangalore
- Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Coimbatore
Let me clear your doubt there is no difference between MBA (Masters in Business Administration) & PGDM (Post Graduation Diploma in Management). These are more or less same management degree courses offered under the different tag by different institutions. I f you are wondering that MBA is better than let me remind you the best colleges for management in India like IIMs, XLRi Jamshedpur, S.P. Jain offers a PGDM/PGP course. Most of these institutes are autonomous bodies (not affiliated to any University) and conducts their own management course.
So instead of having any myth that PGDM is a diploma course and inferior to MBA you should look for the best college.

Moreover, for pursuing masters in finance you should have maths as one of your subjects in 12th. Hope that helps. All the best!
