If there is a spelling mistake in your Aadhaar card (e.g., "Chandraima" instead of "Chandrima"), it could cause issues during the NEET UG application process, as the details must match exactly with official documents. However, you can correct the mistake in your Aadhaar by updating it through the UIDAI website or at an Aadhaar enrollment center before filling out the NEET form.

Hello there,

If there is a spelling mistake in your Aadhaar card (e.g., "Chandrima" vs. "Chandraima"), it may cause issues during document verification for NEET UG. Since Aadhaar is a primary identification document, the names in your Aadhaar card and NEET form should match exactly.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Update Aadhaar : You can update the name in your Aadhaar card by visiting the UIDAI portal or Aadhaar enrollment center to correct the spelling mistake.

  2. Fill NEET Form : Once the update is done, you can fill the NEET UG form with the corrected details.

If you haven't updated your Aadhaar yet, it is advisable to correct it before filling out the form to avoid discrepancies later.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hi Chandrima Paramanik;

As you mentioned that your name in NEET UG form and that written in your adhar card is different, I suggest you perform correction in the form (If correction window will open in future if the Name field is open to accept the corrections). Hopefully, the correction window will open in March 2025. Then if it allows changes then well and good otherwise you need to change the name that is mentioned in your adhar card, I guess it will take about a month to get your new adhar card. Make sure that the name and other details you are providing in any forms, and official work should remain consistent throughout your all documents. Including your Adhar card Pan Card Marksheets etc Category certificates etc . Believe me it would create so much chaos and stress during the counselling process and document verification process if by God's grace you get your dream college. So be careful and avoid doing such mistakes in future.

Hope that helps.

All the best.

If your Aadhar card has a spelling error, such as "Chandraima" instead of "Chandrima," and you haven’t filled out the NEET UG form yet, it’s recommended to first correct the mistake. A discrepancy between documents could lead to verification issues and complications during admission. Ensuring that all your documents have the same name spelling will help avoid such issues in the future.
