Dear Mahendra
You have a average profile with a decent work experience. TO get admission in new IIMs you need a score of about 95 perrcentile in CAT. Also to get call from old IIMs try to score above 99 percentile in cat and prepare well for GDPI.
All the best
Hello Mahendra,
Well, to get in IIM the minimum marks are required 99% in a CAT exam.
But the minimum is different from the area wise like: in IIM Ahmedabad the minimum 70% and the maximum is above 90%, in IIM Calcutta 40% of marks are required, in IIM Ranchi 50% of marks are required.
And with such good marks in the 10th and 12th board you get admission in IIM.
Hope this will help you. Best of luck.
Hi,
In order to get IIM calls, you should secure at least 90+ percentile in CAT. While old IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow and Indore usually call candidates with 99+ percentile, for the newer IIMs, the cutoff is slightly lesser, but still, 90+ percentile is what the cutoff trend is for General category candidates.
As far as non-IIMs are concerned, the cutoff range varies from institute to institute. For the top-ranked institutes like FMS Delhi, IITs (Delhi, Bombay and Madras), the CAT cutoff percentile is 99+. On the other hand, other premier B-schools like MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, SPJIMR Mumbai cutoffs range from 90-100 percentile.
