Yes you can apply for exam if you have 75% in 12th . As you said you are giving improvement so there is a prblm that jee main consider only one marksheet it can be your improvement one in which only improvement subjects where mention. So keep this in mind if you have 75% or above in your 12th I will suggest you to go for improvement exam for all the subjects because jee will accept your one marks sheet because they are going to check aggregate from one marks sheet. CBSE Improvement Exam are held with the actual CBSE Board examination that is in the latter half of February. So if you pass the subjects successfully and if the result is announced before May then you could register for JEE Main 2021 May Examination as well but thats a close call.

If you successfully pass the examination then ofcourse you are eligible to give JEE Main in 2022.
