I have appeared jee mains in 2020 and 2021 but I have not qualified for jee advanced both times am I eligible for jee advanced 2022??

No, You cannot appear in JEE Advanced exam without qualifying JEE Mains. However, this year JEE Advanced eligibility criteria was extended to candidates who could not appear in JEE Advanced 2020,2021. However, this criteria is only for those people who had qualified JEE Mains in that respective year.

No you are not eligible for JEE-Advance 2022 because there are only 2 attempts allowed for JEE-Advance for 2 consecutive years which includes the year when you appeared for the first time  for class 12th so as you had already appeared for two attempts so now you can't appear for JEE-Advance 2022 but you can appear for JEE-Main 2022 because for JEE-main the number of attempts are 3 so you are eligible for this last attempt.

There are some criterion which you need to satisfy in order to appear for JEE-Main so let us discuss them.

1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.

2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.

3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.

So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.
