I have applied for JOSAA 2021. I have been allotted a seat in NIT SILCHAR CSE i.e my 14th preference in Round 1. Now if I select FLOAT option for my further rounds and I don't get any seat in previous preferences will this seat be get cancelled.

See if you select the float option after getting seat in NIT Silchar and then you go for further rounds of counselling then your seat allotted in NIT Silchar would not be cancelled instead it would be upgraded in further rounds as you opted for float option.
Float option is chosen by the candidate when he/she wants to upgrade their seat in any other institution as per the choices filled in JOSAA choice filling.
So don't worry your seat won't be cancelled before final round counselling of JOSAA.
