Look , to get a job in IT fields .. your gained skills are the most important factor than your degree domain as per most of the companies . But , yes .. few companies may give limited access for B.Tech /MCA /M.sc students only for some job roles . You need to check the respective portal of their website for that to clarify the eligibility criteria they required .
Well, as you are a commerce student .. so you need to apply for job through offline campusing i.e. you need to search your own the available companies that are hiring freshers .
Some important tips to crack the off campus placement :
- You should have a knowledge of at least one programming like C/C++/Java/Python etc.
- Practice hands on coding on a regular basis
- practice Aptitude and logical reasoning questions for qualifying the round 1
- Go through the PYQs for individual companies
- For a specific job role , you need to know the requirement of companies and learn accordingly that topics , concepts to increase your hiring chances
