Hello Arundathi. Well, IELTS is a language test for english proficiency. It will help you to do masters in countries where english language is a necessity. It is compulsory for students who have done their graduation in a country where english is not a primary language. This test will help your application profile, while you apply in foreign countries.



Coming to GRE, it is generally preferred for admission into masters degree in engineering or management in USA or Canada.

You have completed your graduation in human physiology and want to pursue Masters in the same field. So for this you have to appear for IELTS. Your IELTS score shows your proficiency in English.
