i have completed my 12th with arts stream and now i am doing GNM course, can i become a doctor after GNM? please reply
Hello,
In order to become doctor you have to appear for NEET, for which the eligibility criteria as follows-
Passed 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, chemistry, biology, and english as core subjects,
Secured PBC aggregate against respective category which is inclusive of theory and practical:
- UR - 50%
- SC/ST/OBC - 40%
- PwD - 45%
As of now there is no upper age limit, the lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December of the appearing year.
you certainly don't meet the eligibility criteria of NEET, and moreover till now there is no lateral entry introduced when it comes to medical science undergraduate courses if that's what you're enquiring about, hence you are not eligible to pursue MBBS/BDS/Ayush Courses for that matter,
you can visit our page at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria to know more details regarding this,
also, check out the courses for which admission is done through NEET score at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/courses-under-neet
Hello aspirant,
You can become a doctor, after doing the GNM course. For, this you need to apply into MBBS through lateral entry, and should join the MBBS course from third year. After successful completion of the course, you can become a doctor, by getting the MBBS degree, from a respective college.
Hope this helps you,
Good luck, Thank you :)
