i have completed my BA with 45% only am i elegible for CAT exam??
Unfortunately you are not eligible for CAT if you are from general category as one needs a minimum of 50 % in graduation. However you can apply for other exams like XAT and TISS.
All the best!
Kartik I am sorry to say that with 45% you won't be eligible to sit in CAT exam until and unless you are an SC/ST category student.
Because for general category student eligibility criterion to appear in CAT exam is to have atleast 50% in 10th, 12th and graduation all the 3 academic areas which are reduced to 45% for SC/ST category student.
Assuming you are a general category student You can sit in the other MBA exams like XAT which doesn't have any criteria but still, you will suffer after the exam because irrespective of marks or percentile you score in any of the MBA exams, choices to apply and get admission in b-school for you will be pretty less and the one you will be getting will not be good enough.
Still, you can do some research before starting your preparation for MBA and find out the list of MBA exams and colleges which doesn't impose any such eligibility restrictions and if you get a few good colleges in your list then you can definitely go for pursuing MBA degree.
All the best!!
CAT Eligibility criteria is quoted below-
" The Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with Atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and personal with Disabilities Category), awarded by any university or educational institutions recognized by UGC act."
So if you belong to General or OBC Category, then you cannot apply for CAT.
