I have completed my b.com hons. with mathematics as a G.E subject in the first 2 years/ 4 semesters , from Delhi University. I want to pursue mathematics as a field. Am I eligible for IIT JAM (in mathematics)? Kindly help.

Hello student,

The eligibility criteria for a candidate to appear for IIT JAM examination is that a candidate must possess a bachelor's degree with minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 for the unreserved category.

If a candidate want to pursue post graduation in mathematics then the candidate must have studied mathematics as one of the core subjects in the bachelor's degree or at least two years/four semesters. So, as per your query you are eligible for the examination since you've studied mathematics as a general elective subject for two years.
