UGC NET eligibility criteria  is given below :-

--) You need at least  55% marks in your master or equivalent degree ( 50 % marks for

OBC/ST/SC/PWD/Transgender).

--) Those who  are currently in the final year of their Master's degree are also provisionally eligible for UGC NET 2021 provided that they must fulfil above educational requirements  within two years.

--)Age :- The age limit is given

††† While applying for UGC NET 2021 you need to select the test for the subject which have studied in your post-graduation. In case if your post graduation  subject  is not given in the list , then you  can choose the relevant subject from the list as per your preference. The subject list is attached as Annexure-IV in the information brochure . The Annexure-IV is on the page number 34 on official information brochure, which you can download by going through the link provided below

So, as M.E in water resources engineering is not there in the subject list , so you are free to choose any related subject depending upon your preference and thus, you can choose Geography .
