Hello Rohan, This is totally your call as this would define your career and future life, If you really want to be an engineer, you should definitely go for a BE/BTech degree however if you are content and are in a desperate need for an employment, then you could work as site engineer under private contract.

BE/Btech is a rigorous degree requiring both financial and mental commitments of which you cannot deviate needlessly, but in return it could give you a career you desire of an engineer.

I would have gone for Btech in your place. But totally your call.

Hope this helps

Hi dear,

Hope you are doing well!

Now let's go through your question.

After successfully completing Civil Engineering Diploma tou can now directly pursue the following Advanced Diploma courses:

  • Advance Diploma in Drafting and Design.
  • Advance Diploma in Structural Design.
  • Advance Diploma in Construction Management.
  • Advance Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Advance Diploma in Surveying.

You can also opt for Bachelor’s Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Civil Engineering! In most Degree Engineering schools, sure percentages of seats are reserved for diploma certificate holders. This entry is known as the lateral entry.

Thank You & All the best!

Look, if you're getting contracts as a private site engineer it's well and good, and I can't really tell if it will work long term. And there are several cases where Civil Engineers also don't get jobs because of recession, so it's advisable that you complete your Engineering, and try for job Ahead. All the best!
