i have completed my gnm diploma,,i want to do post bacis bsc nursing

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that After GNM, one may have to register with State Nurse Registration Council as R.N.R.M. After this, you have to work and gain some work experience. This qualification can be used to join Bsc Nursing (Post Basic) program offered by INC recognized institutes. After completing the Bsc program,  you will be awarded a Nursing Degree.

Further, if you wish to know more about the eligibility criteria for post basic bsc nursing you may read the criteria below :

  1. Candidates should clear Class 12 from a recognised board preferably in the Science stream .
  2. Candidates should be registered as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).
  3. Candidates should possess a three-year diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

Yes after GNM one can pursue a B.Sc Nursing or a B.Sc Post Basic Nursing course.

The duration of BSc nursing is 4 years and BSc post basis is 2 years.

Average fees for this course ranges from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.

You are eligible for doing post basic BSc nursing as you have done General Nursing and Midwifery diploma course. Other than this you must have also completed your 10 + 2 class level board examination with Physics Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects. You must have also studied English as one of the subjects in your 10 + 2 class level board examination.

The admission to the post basic Bachelor of Science nursing course is provided either on the basis of merit scores or scores in the entrance exam. I am mentioning know the name of entrance exam in which you will may need to appear for Post Basic Bachelor of Science.

  • AIIMS nursing entrance exam
  • Christian Medical College Vellore entrance exam
  • AFMC entrance exam
