I have completed my internship 6 months ago but I didn't apply for provisional registration for BDS during my internship period.can I apply now? or should I directly apply for permanent registration?
Hello
You can directly apply for permanent registration if the Dental Council of India (DCI) or the respective State Dental Council allows it . Provisional registration is generally required during your internship period , but if it wasn’t applied for earlier , it may no longer be necessary after completing the internship .
Contact the relevant council for guidance on the required documents and process for permanent registration .
Hope this helps you .
Thank you
Hello,
Provisional registration is usually valid for a limited time, often for the duration of your internship. Since your internship ended six months ago, applying for provisional registration may no longer be an option. Confirm with your state dental council for specific rules.
-
Permanent Registration : You can directly apply for permanent registration if your internship is complete and you possess the necessary completion certificate from your institution. Most councils accept applications even if provisional registration was not obtained earlier.
-
Check Guidelines : Verify the guidelines of your respective state dental council as policies may vary. Some councils may require an explanation or additional documents for the delay.
-
Required Documents : Gather all required documents, such as your internship completion certificate, degree certificate, and other specified forms, before applying.
-
Next Steps : Contact your state dental council for clarity and proceed with the permanent registration application without delay.
Hope it helps !
