If you are not wiling to go for the research, pure or applied Mathematics and want to work in the sector of Data Science, then yeah! its a good choice for you. Data Science is a growing field and now it need more infusion of energy in order to get more advanced application to the grass root levels. So from a job perspective you have enough options to join big MNC's. Now if you are interested in research you can also go for a PhD in Applied Statistics which will give you a scope to work in the field of Data Science.
