Qualification needed for pursuing Ph.D. abroad
- Masters in chemistry
Other requirements:
- Language tests as per the country - US- GRE and TOEFL, UK/EU/Australia/new Zealand - IELTS or TOEFL
- Statement of Purpose/ Motivation letter and CV
- Publications (beneficial, but not mandatory)
If you study chemistry you should be aware of what an extremely wide field it is. Different university chemistry departments specialize and have appropriate equipment and also (most important) teams of researchers dealing with particular topics. World leading-edge chemistry may well be performed in a university which is not ranked at the top overall, and major breakthroughs can come from work which is not part of the current fashion.
