i have done ba journalism can i apply for SSC CGL for ASO( assistant section officer)

The post of Assistant Section Officer in Central Secretariat Service/Intelligence Bureau/Ministry of Railways/ Ministry of External Affairs is one of the reputed post in SSC CGL, its eligibility criteria is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, there is no specific aggregate required in this, the upper age limit is 30 years, relaxation in terms of age criteria is offered to reserved categories, hence with BA Journalism you are eligible to apply for this post, in fact as long as you meet the other eligibility criteria you can apply for remaining posts also, exception is only there for the following posts:

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer : Essential qualification is passed graduation in any discipline but desirable is MBA(Finance)/MBS/CA/CNA/CS/MCom/MBE
Junior Statistical Officer : Bachelor's degree in any discipline having statistics as a subject or Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 60% marks in Mathematics in 12th standard
Statistical Investigator Grade II : Bachelor's degree in any discipline having statistics as a subject, and studied it for three years in graduation

For aforementioned posts of SSC CGL, candidates need to possess the required educational qualifications.
