Hey there, Ishita. For taking admission in ME(BioTech) or M.Sc Biological Science (Hons.) the candidate must have passed B.Sc. from any Stream. And as you have done B.sc in Biotechnology, so yes, you are eligible to take admission in ME (BioTech) as well as M.Sc. Biological Sciences.

As you have mentioned both ME and M.Sc. , then I would like to tell you that both these courses are said to be equivalent. One may choose any course of the two, but I will suggest you to go for M.Sc. Biological Sciences.

The reason is that there are many scopes and career growth after pursuing M.Sc. Biological Sciences. You will have many possibilities of working in various Government Organisation and be a part of the Research Team. You will also have many chances of working in well reputed private organisation.

After pursuing this course, you will be eligible and able to apply for:

-Medical Researcher

-Agricultural Researcher

-Food Research

-Other research and testing fields like Soil Testing, etc.

Unfortunately, BITS Pilani only offers Integrated Course in M.Sc. The students of Class 12th are only eligible to apply for their First Degree Integrated Course (B.Sc.+M.Sc.).

But you may apply to the below mentioned colleges offering M.Sc. Biological Studies for B.Sc. Qualified Students:

1. Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology

2. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi

3. National Institute of Technology

4. Delhi Technological University

5. Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra

These were some few reputed institutions for pursuing M.Sc Biological Science. Do let me know in case you have more query. All the best.

Dear Ishita, as you have pursued BioTech, so I'm sure you have gone through the subjects Bio-Chemistry and Micro-Biology. So, yes, you will be eligible for taking admission. And for that you need to have atleast 60% marks in your academics and the selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in BITS-Higher Degree Online Test. But, as far as it's concerned, I have a few far related members who have studied in BITS, PILANI for the same course and he skipped it after 3 months of taking admission in M.E. He took admission for Integrated course, the first 3 years of UG were best but not for ME. Anyways, All the best for this.

No, I won't suggest you for this. Either go for M.Sc. (Bilogical Science) or try the top 5 colleges mentioned in the answers.
