Hi there,

Yes of course you can apply state quota in medical college.Basically , the rule is that your 12 certificate should be from a recognised educational institute does not matter private or government. But the certificate sgould be of delhi and not not even of Delhi ncr.

If you have got any queries feel free to ask.

Hope it helps!!

Hello Nilesh,

For getting admission in the 85% state quota, the candidates must hold the domicile of the state from which he is applying for the counseling. Then only he will be considered for the admission in this state. But Delhi is a union territory, completing your 11th and 12th standard form the capital will be considered as your Home state. So you may chance of getting a seat from the state quota. Use this link to know about the number of seats from different states and union territory.

Hi Nilesh ,

Yes, you can. However you must qualify NEET UG examination. The scores are used to get admission into MBBS, BDS, BPT, vet , and other medical courses.NEET scores are also used to get admission into foreign universities (Russia, China )

Here's more about NEET:

NEET is a national level medical entrance exam used to get admission in government/private medical colleges for MBBS, BDS, BPT, Unani courses. It has four main sections:

A) Physics

B) Chemistry

C) Botany

D) Zoology

There is a 1/3 negative marking. A highest score one can get is 720, as each question is worth 4 marks, and there are 180 questions total and it's a 3 hour exam. NEET is conducted in May every year by CBSE.

As per the weightage of NEET if you mean the importance of it, it is crucial exam if you want to get into a medical college in India. NEET scores are accepted nationwide in all states except by AIIMS, JIPMER and CMC Vellore. These 3 institutes are exempted and they conduct their own medical entrances for admissions. The remaining colleges must take admission based on NEET scores and ranking.

Students use online resources for studies or they generally join coaching such as Allen or Aakash centers to improve their prepartion for NEET UG. Along with NEET UG, there is another exam NEET PG meant for MD/ MS admissions.
