As you're a BTech graduate and interested in pursuing law, hence there is only option regarding this which is LLB course for a duration of three years, had you opted for law after 10+2 then there would have been various options among BA-LLB, BCom-LLB, BCA-LLB, BSc-LLB, BBA-LLB etc, and it doesn't make sense to pursue integrated law courses of five years duration after graduation, hence LLB is the option for you,
to brief you regarding this, LLB is for a duration of three years, and its eligibility criteria is passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 45% marks and in case reserved category it's 40%. Universities like DU and BHU require minimum 50% marks while universities like Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Meerut require only 45% marks in graduation.
Admission process may be based on the merit of the qualifying examination such as in case of The Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University, else you can go for any of the following entrance tests-
- DU LLB conducted by Delhi University
- BHU-UET(Law) by BHU
- PU LLB by Punjab University,
- LAT by Allahabad University
- Other than these, there are state level law entrance tests such as AP LAWCET, KLEE, TS LAWCET, MHT CET LAW etc,
After completing your graduation course in law, you can enroll yourself as an advocate in a Bar Council, for that you will be required to pass All India Bar Examination. you will be provided wth 'Certificate of Practice' by the BCI that will make you eligible to practice in court of law.
