As per the last two year's Jee Mains eligibility criteria, this year 75% in 10+2 board exams has been removed for NITs and IITs by NTA. However for year 2023 no official notice has been declared by NTA. It maybe possible that NTA will remove 75% criteria for next year because this criteria was removed for the candidates of 2020 who faces many critical circumstances because of COVID-19 pandemic. 2022 is the last year they are applying for Jee Mains so remember it and prepare well.
Hope it helps
Good luck :)
Hi
There's no 75 % criteria in 12th to be eligible for jee main, so even if your% is less than 75 % you will be eligible for jee main 2023.
For your reference,
Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-
---------------------------) Qualification required :- to be eligible for JEE mains you need 10+2/equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
Course |
Required Criteria based on Class 12th or equivalent |
B.E/B.Tech |
Passed qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of :-
----)Chemistry -----)Biotechnology -----)Biology ----) Technical Vocational subject. |
B.Arch |
Passed qualifying examination with -----)Mathematics, -----)Physics, ------) Chemistry
To be eligible for B. Arch , you have at least 50% in aggregate of Physics, chemistry and Maths and also 50 % in overall in 12th/equivalent |
B.Planning |
Passed qualifying examination with Mathematics
You must have at least 50% marks in Maths in 12th and also 50% in 12th /equivalent overall. |
-------------------------) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible for JEE mains 2022 you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent in 2022 or should have passed it in 2021 or 2020
-------------------------) There is no age limit to be eligible
- ------------------------) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main for BE /Btech.
But yes,
To be eligible for BE/BTech in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category or needs to be in top 20 percentile of their board examination.
IMPORTANT NOTE :- This minimum percentage barrier of 75 % - 65% for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs has been lifted off for jee main 2022 . It means to be eligible all you need to be eligible is to have at least passed 12th .
To be eligible for NITs etc in 2023 what you can do is give 12th improvement examination in order to get 75 % or more so that even if 75 % criteria returns in 2023 you will be eligible for NITs etc .
But as you are interested in DTU, nothing to worry because for DTU required% is only 60 % in pcm aggregate.
Here's the DTU eligibility criteria:-
To be eligible one must pass his or her class 12th board examination with physics chemistry mathematics and English and must have got at least 60% in aggregate of physics chemistry and mathematics
