Hi Aspirant
Yes you can change your category at the time of application form correction.
Following are the data which can be corrected:
1.Gender
2.DOB
3.Category(caste.)
4.Disability Status
5.Identification Identity
6.State code of eligibility
7.Exam medium
8.Center of examination
Good luck
As per the norms given by the National Testing Agency which is conducting NEET in 2019, you can can correct these errors at the time of correction.
At the time of filling in details in the NEET 2019 Application Form, it is clearly specified that after submitting the form you will not be able to edit the following items -
Gender
Category
Nationality
State Eligibility (15% AIQ seats)
PWD status
Other than the details mentioned above, the students can change other information in the NEET Application Form including photograph and signature.
So if your caste falls in the same category, you can change it. Otherwise you can write an application to the MCI regarding the same.
I hope this answered your query. Thank You.
Dear Lalith, as your caste can affect the merit list, unfotunately you cannot change this detail in the correction window. Either you have to fill in a new form at the cost of a new payment or let go off the merit if you are eligible for any because if you dont fill in the caste correct you cannot avail the benefits. But the alternate is that you can fill in another form with a new contact no# and Email id with correct category.
