Yes , you can change your category in the April JEE Main session . The category you select during the January session does not lock you into it for the entire year . During the correction window for the April attempt , you will have the opportunity to update your category if you have your certificate by then .

Since you are in the General category for the January attempt , you will need to make sure that you change it to your correct category ( VJNT or OBC ) during the correction period .

This is completely valid as long as you provide the required category certificate during the April session .

Hope you are doing well ! Yes you can change your category but in this case after the exam when the result comes you may difficulty as you will get two different results and two different ranks . So do accordingly. But yes change is possible. Also Candidates are allowed to change their city preferences along with the medium in which they want to take the JEE Main 2025 exam.
