Dear Sush, if the PDF is password protected, you should change the image format to JPEG and then upload it. This is for 2 reasons mainly. First, you cannot share your password to strangers and secondly, the authorities cannot access your document without the password. The application also has no special column for giving the Password too. So in order not to go to and fro, it is better to change the format of the document to a non password asking format and then upload it. That way, you needn't be worried.

MCI registration copy can be in pdf file as well as an photocopy too.

Let us take it as a acceptable thing, but during verification process who will have a patience to enter password and check it.

If you can upload a PDF without any passwords which they may find irritating then it's perfectly alright.

Even in the application you will find they will be asking for photo copy of the MCI. So, it will be more good if you provide them a scanned photo copy.
