I have finished my 2nd puc/ 12th standard a few years ago am I eligible for comedk?
To be eligible for COMEDK UGET 2019, candidates need to have appeared in second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or any equivalent exam as recognized by State/ Central Government.
Qualifying Exam Subjects:
Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject in their last two years of their 10+2 or any equivalent qualifying exam.
Qualifying Exam Marks:
Candidates belonging to General category need to have passed their qualifying exam with at least 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates also need to have qualified in these subjects individually.
For candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories of Karnataka State, they need to have 40% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They also need to have qualified in these subjects individually.
For B.Tech/ B.E. Programmes in Biotechnology/ Biology:
Candidates must have studied and passed Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio technology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as one of the optional subjects in their qualifying exam.
In case of any changes, the eligibility criteria prescribed by AICTE will be adopted.
For Diploma:
Diploma candidates will not be eligible to appear in COMEDK UGET 2019 entrance exam as there are no lateral entry admissions.
For Admissions through COMEDK UGET:
It is to be noted that an attempt in the COMEDK exam for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes will be adequate for figuring in the rank list.
For B.Arch:
Qualifying Exam:
The qualifying exam for candidates applying to COMEDK UGET 2019 for B.Arch programmes is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent exam.
To be eligible for B.Arch, candidates need to have completed their 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government.
Qualifying Exam Subjects:
Candidates need to have passed their qualifying exam with Maths as one of the subjects along with other subjects.
Qualifying Exam Marks:
General category candidates should have obtained minimum 50% marks in aggregate in their qualifying exam. For those belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories of Karnataka, they need to have 45% in aggregate in their qualifying exam.
NATA:
Candidates applying for admission to B.Arch programmes through COMEDK UGET should have qualified NATA, a recognized aptitude test in Architecture conducted by Council of Architecture or JEE Main Paper 2 in 2019.
There will be no entrance exam for candidates those who are seeking admission to B. Arch programmes. However, such candidates will have to submit a separate application form for counselling purpose.
Reservation in COMEDK UGET 2019
Candidates under COMEDK UGET will be classified as General Merit and SC/ ST/ OBC on Karnataka Basis OR
Those belonging to Tulu/ Christian minority communities and those belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) Region. Such candidates will have to produce a valid certificate at the time of counselling.
Through COMEDK UGET, there is reservation for candidates who are local persons for HK region as per Karnataka Government Order.
