Firstly be clear with JEE Mains and GATE exam.JEE Mains is for admission into BE/B.tech programmes(UG).Based on your JEE Main percentile you can get admitted into reputed institutes.After clearing JEE Mains you will have to qualify JEE Advanced also for admission into IIT's.GATE exam is a national level exam for post graduate admissions in IIT'S,NIT's ,IISc and other leading top ranking Institutes.If you are applying for BTech then you may very well proceed with your JEE Main score.
