Hi Dhatri,
Hope you grade 10 exams went off well.
It is good that you wish to pursue PCM and crack IIT-JEE exams.
The syllabus that you opt for will make a difference in your preparation in terms of its ease.
Ideally, you must do your 11th and 12th in CBSE Board as the syllabus there is closest to that of JEE syllabus. State Boards, ISC etc is also good but it will be challenging to manage both together.
Along with your school education, you might want to opt for coaching for JEE.
Kota will be ideal as it is known to have some of the best coaching centres in India for IIT-JEE.
Allen, Bansal classes etc are just some of these. If you are planning to move to Kota for 11/12, it will be a different experience all together and if you are ready to miss out on the wholesome school life, experience- I'd say go for it.
Kota is also expensive to study in but if you make the most of it, then you will be able to achieve your goals.
However, some may argue that Kota might be over-hyped and that if you have the right amount of dedication and put in enough hardwork, you will be able to crack iit regardless.
This is purely upto your belief in your capabilties.
If you care considering Lucknow,
FIITJEE and Resonance coaching centres are said to have good mentors.
IF you are looking at Dehradun as an option,
Bansal classes seem to be the most reputed.
You should decide if you want to opt for the 2 years training programme or would prefer to do a crash course right before the exam.
Both have their pros and cons.
While, a 2 year training programme would give you more practice, it will also be monotonous as classes can get extremely taxing and you might give up on the last two years of school life.
In whatever path you ultimately take, i hope that you will be able to put in lots of hardowork towards your goals.
And if IIT at any point seems like its not your calling, do not be disheartened, there are some amazing colleges in India that you could choose from.
Wishing you good luck, health and happiness.
