I have got 11,908 rank in VIT entrance exam. Please advise on choosing between VIT Chennai CSE vs VIT Vellore CSE?

both of the campuses have their pros and cons but vellore being established earlier and having a good coding culture can be considered to have a slight edge above chennai. it also has better campus and extra-curricular activities going on.

Here is my view about both the colleges. Please go through it.

• Size: Vellore is one of the biggest campuses I've ever seen, whereas Chennai campus isn't any bigger than vellores men's hostel.
• Campus: vellore is quite old but still this campus will never stop fascinating you. Rains make it look beautiful, summer brings back the glow and springs, the best time to stay in the campus.
• Extracurriculars: Vellore as you know has gravitas and riviera as most of them have mentioned. Riviera being one of the top ten best fest's of India. Gravitas is more of a technical summit so I don't know much.
• College life: just a summary of my college and hostel life. I go to important classes. (*important the one which I don't have friends in so no possibility of getting a proxy) come back, watch one movie a day on a non-exam day,Go to either gym or football. Exam day the no. Of movies just increase to two three etc depending on how tough the paper is. :P Late night chats, counter strike, COD are always fun. Bashing someone on his birthday so hard that both his asses go numb makes us feel good until we aren't on the receiving end.
• Rules and regulations: very strict, but has many loopholes. I drink a lot. So I have tricks that help me stay away from the heavy fine I would have to pay if caught. I don't have a girl friend so PDA I am not sure about. :P
• Extra activities: what is your field of interest? Dance? Go join dance club.

At this rank you may get computer science at chennai campus but you can't get vellore campus. choice vellore campus because vellore is main campus of it.
