I have got 272 marks in bitsat 2020 . In the first iteration i have been placed in the waiting list . Do i stand a chance in the second iteration ? I am looking forward to either pilani or goa campus in BE branches like cs,eee,civil or mechanical.

According to your marks , you do have good chances to get civil or manufacturing in Pilani , as per previous year cutoffs . In Goa , you would most probably get Chemical , and by further round you can get Mechanical as cutoffs varies from 5-10 marks every year . Apart from the 4 year streams , you can also get many good 5 year Msc options in all of the BITS , campuses . You can also get good branches in Hyderabad also like civil , chemical , mechanical .

As you have scored 272 Marks the cutoff is close to old years only. So by this score, you can get a seat in BITS Goa civil branch in the second iteration if the seat is vacant.
Else manufacturing can be an option if you are interested.
Also, you have been put on the waiting list, as I guess you know it happens many times where the student doesn't take their seat within the set time frame, then they choose candidates from the second waiting list and offer them a seat if they clear the minimum cutoff set by them.
