NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get seat or not with 450 marks.
But yes,
when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 450 marks you hold low get a seat in a Government quota seat even in a private medical college
For example,
In Neet 2019, 452 marks for general category was the lowest marks to get a government quota seat in private Medical College under Tamilnadu state quota and it was for Sri Muthukumaram Medical College and Hospital

Also,
cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
So, to get a Government quota seat in a private medical college you should target at least 500 marks in your Neet 2021 examination.

Thank you
Neet 2019, 430 marks for obc category was the lowest marks to get a government quota seat in private Medical College under Tamilnadu state quota and it was for Sri Muthukumaram Medical College and Hospital.
But cut off marks, keep changing every year. For example, Neet qualifying cut off has increased from 107 marks for obc category in neet 2019 to 113 marks in Neet 2020 and cut off marks for getting admission in medical colleges have increased even more.
so if you get 450 marks in neet 2021 then your chances of getting Government quota seat in a medical college in NEET 2021 .
So, you should try to get at least 500 marks or more in your Neet 2021 examination even if you want to get into private medical college for Government quota seat.
thank you
Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.
So on such marks and category you have very low or almost no chances of getting government quota seat in any private medical college even according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the lowest cut-off marks was 452 for government quota seat in Sri Muthukumaram Medical College and Hospital under state quota for General category. And also this year the cut-offs have been raised by around 50-60 marks at institutional level so if you need government quota seat in private medical colleges then also you should aim at least 500 in NEET 2021. But yes on the other hand you can get management quota seats very easily in different medical colleges on such marks and category.
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
