Hello,

You have not mentioned you category assuming that you belong to general category it is difficult to get seat in A U college of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. The cut off rank was 1538 in 2018. Here is the cut off for ME category wise

  • SC:8497
  • ST:8938
  • BC-A:1586
  • BC-B:4343
  • BC-C:1538
  • BC-D:2415
  • BC-E:1538

Cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of candidates qualified, number of seats available etc.

Alternately, you can use our AP EAMCET college predictor to know the colleges in which you may get seat

Hello aspirant,

Congratulations for getting good rank in AP EAMCET. According to last some years cut offs for Andhra university for mechanical stream are nearly between 850 to 1200 rank for general category. As you are not mentioned any category so if you are from general category then you have no  chances of getting admission  in AU.

As this is one of the most prestigious institution of AP so the cut offs for this are very high you should also go through the below link in which cut offs for this institution are given.

Also you should go through our college predictor tool which will help you in finding some decent colleges for you.

Best of luck.

Hello shekhar,

Your category also plays an important role in determining the college and rank.

For getting mechanical in Andhra University

if you are from open category, then there no chances of getting a mechanical seat

If you are from BC category, the chances are quite low as the previous cutoff's are below 4000.You can try your luck.

If you belong to reserved category like sc or st, then you can surely get into AU.

Here's a link for your college prediction which will be very helpful in determining which colleges can you get based on the rank you scored,
