Dear student,

Josaa - joint seat allocation authority, is responsible for giving admission in undergraduate courses in IIT NIT, IIIT, gfti by counselling.
Now in jossa there is a misconception that only the jee mains qualified students can participate, which is completely wrong.
In jossa anyone who has given Jee mains can participate in josaa counselling . Now as you have secured only 64 percentile in JEE mains exam from your obc category so you have not qualified your jee mains exam.
But still you can participate in josaa counselling though you will not get any seat in it, but still you can try your luck.
So get yourself registered in josaa counselling on 6th October 2020.
Also you can check out our college predictor tool to get an appropriate idea of the colleges that you can get on the basis of your JEE mains rank :-

Hi Nitipriya,

The eligibility criteria of JoSAA counselling for JEE Main 2020 is:-

  • You should have score higher marks than the cutoff of JEE Main 2020.
  • You must have qualified Class 12th or equivalent examination.
  • To get admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, minimum 75% aggregate marks will be required for General category students while reserved category candidates must have secured at least 65% marks.

Now, the cutoff for OBC category is 72.8887969 percentile. And you have got 64 percentile, you are not eligible for JoSAA counselling 2020.
