Hello Aspirant, congratulations on your result. You have a good JEE Mains rank, but your JEE Advanced rank won't get you the top IIT's. Although you can try your luck in new IITs you still have to compromise with the branch. My suggestion would be to keep your options open with NIT colleges too as there's a chance of getting a decent branch is good NIT's. All the best!

Congratulations on getting such a good result. For getting admission in IIT what only matter is your JEE Advance rank. With that rank in JEE Advance their are little chance for you to grab a seat but it will not be in any of top IIT. So it's only depend on your luck if you get a seat in any IIT. And as for probability it's around 20-30%.

Gaurav, I will list down the top colleges you can get admission in under JEE Advance. This is based on your rank and previous year cutoffs. You can try for admission in these colleges (decreasing order of preference):-

  • IIT Roorkee
  • IIT Kharagpur
  • IIT BHU Varanasi

You can fill a large number of branch preferences in the JoSAA website.

But again it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper.

Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.

Hope this helps!

All the best!
