Hello,
With 86 Percentile in JEE Mains 2020, your rank would be around 125000 in the common rank list. As you are from EWS category, your EWS category rank would be around 17000.
Wih such huge ranks, it would be hard for you to get seat in government Engineering colleges.
Please go for all the rounds of JOSAA counseling and also the CSAB spot round.
In he subsequent rounds of counseling, you might get some non core branches like mettalurgy, mining biomedical, food technology etc in some newer NITs and GFTIs.

Dear student,

The cutoff percentile score set by nta in jee mains 2020 for general ews category is around 70 percentile.
As your percentile is greater than 70, so you are qualified in jee mains 2020.
But still, with this 86.11 percentile score you will not get any good nits. You will also not get any iiit.
If you belong to home state quota then there is a chance that you can get some low nits like nit mizoram or nit agartala. But if  you an other state student then the chances in these low nits will also be very difficult.

Better you try at some other state colleges like bit sindri or hbti kanpur or some other gftis.
Or you can try at some other private institutions like kalinga institute of industrial technology.
