Hello Rajat,
As per the data mentioned by you, I suggest you, prepare for Advance and try to crack it. Or try in some other private universities.
Since you got, 230 in BITSAT, I don't think you get any of the branches in any of the campuses. Also, 92% in class 12th, can't get you to some prestigious college that accepts Board marks, such as DU, etc.
So your only option is to use the JEE Main percentile. Don't go for NITs, instead try to get into some good private colleges like Jamia Millia Islamia, Jaypee Institute, Thapar, or some other institutes like this. Try for BIT Mesra, BIT Ranchi, HBTU university in Kanpur, etc... These are one of the best choices for candidates with considerable rank in JEE Main.
You may try in DU Colleges, but the hopes are very less.
You may also consider some good colleges such as Chandigarh University, Shiv Nadar University, etc... These give scholarships as well as admissions based on your Board marks. There will be several good colleges under your state. You may consider those if you wish.
In case you are left with no choice, try for colleges in Pune. There are many colleges there. In case you have applied for MHCET, try colleges under that, there are several good colleges such as COE, Pune under that which are better than NITs.
The last option for you is to drop one year and appear for JEE main again. Please opt this option only if you think you are confident enough to crack it in the next attempt.
Hope this Helps.
Regards.
hey Rajat
don't lose hope! yes i know you will not going to get admissions in any NIT as per your percentage but if you are interested in engineering then you can wait till the last rounnds off many NITs or you can try some good private colleges like BITSAT VIT etc
you can also search for some good private and government colleges which accepts jee mains score
you can also try some colleges which takes admissions on merit based as your CBSE board marks are very good
so dont lose hope and keep going
best of luck
You should not loose hope. Atleast give a try to JEE Advanced examination.
And if we talk about JEE Mains percentile, go for counselling and wait till the last round. It will surely help you out.
And after that you can go for some of the good private colleges also.
Same with BITS, give a try and wait till the last round of the counselling. Sometimes, students use to back out and thereby seats are available. So I will say, don't back off and give your 100% to it. But yes, you have to compromise with branch.
And you still have a chance, as JEE Advanced exam are near.
You can still study hard and can score good.
I hope this will help you out, for further query without any hesitation you can comment below.
All the best.
I am ready to compromise with branches. I am ready to opt for biotechnology, but I really cannot drop a year.
Please suggest what should be the best thing for me to do.
I know dropping a year is a very huge. I have also gone through this phase and I haven't droped. According to me grab the first opportunity you get. So I just want you to go for the mains and bits counselling. Somewhat struggle will help you out. Else you have many good private colleges, you can go for it.
I won't ask you to drop, the thing is you have to do hardwork a bit.
For further query you can comment below.
All the best.

With your BITSAT rank, you can't get any of their 3 campuses. So, nothing can do with BITSAT. & if you want to do hnrs, you can do. Your boards marks is very good. You can get very good colleges at this marks but if you want to do Btech, then stick with. Btech will bring you huge scope & opportunities in your career. Choice is yours.
But Don't worry, You have a lot more options with your JEE MAINS rank.
I'm here to find the best college at this rank for you. So, please can you share your exact rank? Also share your Home State.
