If you decide to withdraw from the allotted pathology seat after round 3, you may have to  face a penalty, typically a percentage of the fees or a fixed charge. For specific details, it’s best to review the withdrawal guidelines provided by the university.

Hello there,

If you've been allotted a seat in pathology in a deemed university and decide to withdraw your seat after the 3rd round of allotment, you can do so, but there are certain guidelines and penalties involved:

  1. Withdrawal of Seat : Generally, you are allowed to withdraw from the seat, but the seat must be vacated as per the rules and within the stipulated time frame, which varies depending on the specific counseling body and university.

  2. Penalty : In most cases, when you withdraw after the allotment, especially in a deemed university, there is a penalty fee . This fee can vary:

    • Some universities may deduct a portion of your admission fee as a cancellation charge.

    • The exact amount of penalty may be mentioned in the admission guidelines of the university or in the counseling instructions for INICET.

  3. Impact on Eligibility for Future Counseling : Withdrawing your seat doesn’t usually affect your eligibility for future attempts or counseling rounds, such as INICET 2025. However, it is crucial to check the specific policies of the university regarding the same.

  4. INICET Exam Attempt : You can still appear for INICET 2025 and, in case you are allotted a seat in the desired specialty, you can choose to withdraw from the current seat.

    Steps to follow:

  • Check the University Guidelines : Review the withdrawal and refund policy on the official website of the deemed university.

  • Confirm Penalty Fee : Verify the exact amount of penalty fee for seat withdrawal.

  • Timing : Make sure to withdraw your seat within the allowed time frame to avoid any additional charges.

It is advisable to check with the specific university and the INICET counseling body for detailed and updated information regarding withdrawal policies and penalties.

Hello,

Yes, you can withdraw from the allotted seat in a deemed university if you wish to give another attempt at INICET 2025. However, the refund policy and penalty depend on the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) guidelines and the specific rules of the deemed university you’ve been allotted.

  • If you withdraw before the deadline (before reporting): Minimal penalty (processing fees or 10% of tuition fees).
  • If you withdraw after joining: Likely loss of full tuition fees for the first year or more.
