I have got FPT in OUCT is it enough or I have to go to chemical in JNTUH OR OUCT
Hey Aspirant,
Osmania University of Technology is offering a four-year B.Tech course in Food Processing Technology (FPT). Applicants should have completed a 10 + 2 or equivalent course in Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics as options. The admission is based on the performance of the EAMCET. In B.Tech, the subjects covered are mainly Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, together with English and Computer Science.
Career prospects are certainly very bright, as the job of a food technician involves not only improving the quality of food products through proper packaging and preservation, but also maintaining quality and hygiene.
You can also look forward to a career with central and state government food processing units as development officers, research scientists and supervisors. Global organizations such as WHO and UNICEF are also constantly working with food technologists.
Don't expect placements In food processing department at OUCT. Placements at OUCT stills need many improvement.
If you want to go with Chemical technology and confused between OUCT and JNTUH, then take look at the following points below:
- JNTUH was established in the year 1972 and has an A grade accredited by NAAC whereas OUCT was established in the year 1918 and awarded with 5 star rating by NAAC.
- JNTUH changes their syllabus and subjects in every 2 years to ensure on getting upgraded with the latest topics whereas OUCT changes their syllabus hardly in 10 years.
- Both the colleges have highly qualified faculties.
- Both the colleges have affordable fee structure.
- Placements are quite good at JNTUH
- highest CTC: Rs 17 Lakh per annum
- average CTC: Rs 9.5 lakh per annum
At OUCT, Median salary is of about Rs 5.5 Lakh per annum.
When it comes to affiliated colleges, then prefer OUCT affiliated colleges first and then JNTUH affiliated ones. I would like to suggest that don't go for affiliated ones of any of them.
You can go through the data of both the colleges, then take your decision.
If you're really interested in Food processing technology and want to pursue your career in that domain, then only you should go for that.
Otherwise, you should opt chemical in JNTUH as placements are much better at JNTUH than OUCT.
Final decision will be yours.
All the best.
