I have got general rank 12879 in wbjee 2019 and 76 percentile in jee can I get Calcutta university and which branch

Hi Aspirant,

I am sorry to tell you that based on your General rank, you will not be able to get any branch in the University of Calcutta.

I can provide you the cutoff ranks of previous years for General/Open category candidates, you can get a clear idea.


In 2018, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 5,340


In 2017, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 5,034


In 2016, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 5,227


From this, you can clearly figure out that you need a WBJEE rank below 5,500 to get any branch if you are from the General/Open category.
