To be eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, you should have scored atleast 75% marks in Class 12th examination or be in the  top 20 percentile in the Class 12th examination conducted by the respective boards.
For SC/ST candidates, qualifying marks is 65%.
If you are appearing for Class 12th exams again, then you need to score more than 75% marks to be eligible for admission to NITs. And also in that case you should fill the JEE Main application form.

Yes, you are eligible for JEE Main but not for JEE Advanced. You can not get admission in NITs but you can get a good government college by scoring good marks in JEE Main. In order to score good marks in JEE Main, first of all the most important thing is your confidence after that we talk about syllabus. You should know the whole syllabus of jee main exam. Your basics in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics should be very clear upto 12th std. You should read the NCERT books for basics. Then HC Verma for Physics, RD Sharma for Mathematics, OP Tendon for Physical & Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry of "Arihant Publication" for detail or extra knowledge.



You should also try to solve the previous years question papers, this helps too much and you should also give the mock test to rectify yourself and build your confidence level.
