The placement will vary from college to college and also depending on your skill sets,talent,and knowledge.If you pursue Mechanical engineering from IIT you can expect an average starting salary of 10-15 lakhs p.a.But in general the average starting salry is about 2.5-7 lakhs p.a.
Top Recruiters are-L&T,Suzuki,Tata motors,BHEL,Toyota,Ford,Mahindra &Mahindra,Kirloskar,SAIL and many more.
