Hi there!

Since you have just passed class 10, the first goal is to score great in Class 12, because the architecture colleges places the ranks bases on 50% of your boards marks!!

Now there are lot of exams for architecture. NATA, JEE mains paper 2 and many state level exams for admission in B.Arch. Since B.Arch is a 5 year course and since then you will be turned into an professional architecture and efficient enough to start your practice. But if you want you can pursue a master degree in India or abroad, which is still not necessary! You will be more and more professional and efficient by experience and working with other people.

Best of luck!

Hi Nida

You have just completed 10th so it is mandatory for you to do first complete 12th grade then continue architecture.

It is compulsory to do 12th for both the courses NATA and B.Arch.

Both the exams are competitive but Maths section of B.Arch is tough as compared to NATA.

Top colleges accept B.Arch in comparison to NATA

Hi nida ,

I think you should first go for jee mains paper 2 nad advance because getting nits or iiits to study barch would be better then the colleges through national aptitude test in architecture (nata) as well as iits and nits might provide you better platforms and alumni network for your future , rest of your plans are correct to go for masters after pursuing barch .

Hope it helps!!!

Hey !

As you have stated having knowledge about NATA and Barch, you can concentrate on either of them so that you can have a good career , here are all the way you can become an architect :

1) 10th pass students have access to some good UG level courses. B.Arch. is probably the most popular UG level Architecture course. (In order to be considered eligible to pursue B.Arch., you must complete class 12th science with PCM subjects. You must also crack relevant Architecture Entrance exams in order to get into reputed Colleges.

2) Diploma in Architectural Assistantship ( is a Diploma program, 3 years long, 10th pass students, whove had Mathematics, Science and English subjects are eligible to pursue this)

Hope this helps

All the best !
