i have just passed class 12 with science stream now i want to crack upsc ias which course i choose ba or bsc i am interested in both courses
Eligibility criteria for UPSC is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, you need to be 21 years old and can apply even in final year, you can pursue any degree program, but as UPSC is more humanities oriented so if you have inclination towards arts subject you can go ahead with this choice, it'll make your foundation strong, you'll be well acquainted with the subjects, hence the effort to start afresh won't be there say in case of other streams where they have to go through the basics in fresh manner because they haven't studied the subjects at intermediate/graduation level.
The eligibility criteria to apply for UPSC examination states that the candidate must have completed graduation degree in any subject from a recognised University. So, the course you choose does not have any problem with the exam. You can go for any of the courses of your choice. If you feel more Interested to pursue, B.A go for it else go for BSc. You choice. For IAS you need to be in between the age of 21 to 32.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
